Rivets: development cycle

ARTWORK Talon International needs artwork to create your rivet. Our expert graphics department can create artwork, or you can submit it as either hard copy ("camera-ready art") or as a computer file in one of the graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator. We'll let you know if we think your artwork will translate well into a rivet, and offer refinements as necessary. Talon International will provide you with a paper proof of the rivet design for your approval before samples are made.

SAMPLES A mould must be created for both stamped and cast rivets. We will provide you with 30-40 actual rivet samples for your final approval. Please note the following approximate costs and time schedules:

PRODUCTION Your rivets will usually be manufactured in approximately 2 weeks, not including shipping.

SHIPPING Talon International rivets are manufactured in Asia, so shipping time must be considered.

Air Freight 3-5 days.

Ocean Freight At least 3 weeks, possibly longer, (but much more affordable than air freight).

PACKAGING Delivered in poly-bags containing 5,000 pieces. The caps and nails are delivered in separate bags.

PRICING Rivets are typically priced between $.01 and $.02 each, depending on their size and the materials you choose. Rivets have very low price elasticity, which means that even very large orders do not achieve a large price break. The minimum order quantity is usually 50,000 units.
