Patches: development

ARTWORK Once you've determined the kind of patch you want, you'll need to submit artwork to Talon International to be used as our guide in creating pre-production samples of your patch. If you prefer, Talon International 's experienced graphics department can handle your artwork creation - you only need to let us know the text and graphics you want to include. If you are submitting your own artwork, either hard copy ("camera-ready art") or a computer disk is suitable. Talon International is equipped to handle the files of all popular graphics programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Talon International will review your artwork and let you know how closely we can recreate your design based on the manufacturing and finishing techniques required for your chosen patch.

SAMPLES In most cases, actual reproduction samples of your patch will be provided, usually in a quantity of 10-15. Often we will provide you with a choice of materials for convenient comparison. The exception is for paper patches, explained below.

PAPER
A digital proof is provided at no charge once order has been made, usually in 2-3 days. This is approximately 90% accurate. The next stage is a match print, available in 2-3 days. Film must be made for the match print at a cost of $175-$300. Changes to the match print will result in additional film charges.

LEATHER
Mold Cost: $150 - $250. Available in 10-14 days.

P.U.
Mold Cost: $150 - $250. Available in 10-14 days.

RUBBER
Mold Cost: $150. Available in 10-14 days.

EMBROIDERY
No charge for most pre-production samples.

Pricing (approximate) Pricing is determined by size of patch, number of colors and the specific materials chosen.

PAPER: $.04- $.10 per patch
LEATHER: $.25- $.50 per patch
P.U.: $.17- $.25 per patch
RUBBER: $.15- $.30 per patch
EMBROIDERY: $.15 -$.45 per patch

PRODUCTION Most patches will be ready for shipment in 10-15 days after reproduction samples are approved. Paper patches can sometimes be manufactured more quickly if needed.

SHIPPING Talon International patches are manufactured in or Asia, so shipping time must be considered:

Air Freight 3-5 days.

Ocean Freight At least 3 weeks, possibly longer, (but much more affordable than air freight).

PACKAGING Convenient poly-bags and/or cartons.

MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY 10,000 units.
